SUBTOPIC 3
i.
Joint
Application Design (JAD)
Purpose:
Brings together key users, managers, and systems analysts and collect system
requirements simultaneously from key people. It is also always conducted off-site.
ii.
Group
Support Systems
Purpose: To facilitate sharing of
ideas and voicing of opinions about system requirements.
iii.
CASE Tools
Purpose:
Enables analysts to enter system models directly into CASE during the JAD
session.
Screen
designs and prototyping can be done during JAD and shown to users.
iv.
System
Prototype
Purpose:
Usually used when designs are complex and require concrete form and there
is a history of communication problems between analysts and users.
